Bryan and Nancy Martin Welcome You to Shows, etc!
Bryan and Nancy Martin have been involved in the world of dogs all their lives, and this website allows you to view the history of their love of dogs and dog shows. Both have retired from their previous work on the dog show circuit, but Bryan has continued to remain involved with the American Kennel Club and currently works as an Executive Field Representative, and will be covering the Northwest Territory.
Bryan and Nancy have traveled throughout the continental
United States and across the globe, presenting dogs of all breeds in both National and International competitions - averaging more than 150 shows every
year. Both of these very talented and experienced handlers have earned the highest of honors in the sport of purebred dogs, achieving multiple Specialty and All-Breed Best in Show wins at many of the most prestigious shows throughout United States and in global competition.

Bryan and Nancy are very proud of the following honor awarded by the American Kennel Club at the AKC/Eukanuba Championship Dog Show on December 17th, 2011 -
"The American Kennel Club Registered Handlers Program applauds Bryan Martin, Recipient of the 2011 AKC Registered Handler of the Year Award.
Nominated by his peers, and selected by the Field Team of the RHP, Bryan has continuously stepped above and beyond as a member of the Registered Handlers Program, and in his role and a Regional Representative he embodies the character and professionalism desired in our membership."

On May 12, 2010, the American Kennel Club began offering a new conformation title, the Grand Champion, which was made available to AKC Champions of record. 13-14 April - Bryan and Nancy are in Crown Point, Indiana, for the two day weekend, and start off Saturday with a Hound Group 4 for Tiger, which MimiChin takes it to the top of the Toy Group for a Group 1 win!
The weekend ends on a double high note, with Bryan and Tiger, the magnificent Basset Hound winning the hound Group and MimiChin, with Nancy expertly guiding her, taking the top rosette in the Toy Group.
MimiChin and Nancy go on to the final victory and BEST IN SHOW number eighteen!
And their story will go on as they begin writing a new chapter...

04-08 April - It is trip out west to Kansas for the Martin crew, and MimiChin starts out with a great Breed win and a Group 3 placement at the Kansas Toy Dog Show on Thursday. MimiChin and Nancy follow up on that win with a Toy Group 1 at the Hutchinson KC show on Friday, with Team Tiger pulling in the rosette for a Hound Group 3! Saturday's show brings a Hound Group 2 placement for Tiger, and MimiChin beings in home with another Toy group 1 rosette, which leads her to a Reserve Best in Show win!! Sunday brings more Group rosettes for Tiger (Hound Group 4) and MimiChin (Toy Group 2)! Monday rounds out the show weekend with a Hound Group 4 for Team Tiger and another Toy Group 1 win for MimiChin!! |

30-31 March - Bryan, Nancy and the crew head home from the Clinton Iowa KC shows with some nice wins over the two day weekend.

Team Tiger makes it back-to-back Hound Group 1 wins
- MimiChin and Nancy add their Toy Group 1 and 2 wins to the lot
- LC the Tibetan Terrier is in the ribbons with a Non-Sporting Group 2 and 3
- with Leif the Finnish Laphund bringing home a Herding Group 4 placement! What a great way to ring in the Spring Season!! |
14-17 March - Team Tiger heads south to Kentucky for the big Kentuckiana Cluster where they continue in the ribbons with a four BOB wins, two Hound Group 3 placements and a Hound Group 4 during the Cluster weekend!!
At the Kentuckiana Basset Hound Club Specialty show, held Saturday evening, Team Tiger again came out on top with another Specialty Best of Breed win!
There is another big winner for the weekend - Kentucky crowns a new Champion - Oscar, the Japanese Chin goes all the way to Best of Breed for the 5-point major win and his new CH title! Congratulations to Oscar's owners - Diane Corkey and Jacqueline Gonsowski.
It was a great run for Bryan and Tiger at the Kentuckiana Cluster in Louisville!!

07-10 March - Bryan and Tiger are in Nashville, Tennessee, for the beginning of a long weekend, and they start with a huge Hound Group 1 win!! The second day of the weekend brings a Hound Group 2 placement for Team Tiger!
It is on to Indiana, and Saturday brings the big win for Team Tiger - a BEST IN SHOW at Logansport KC!! Congratulations to Tigers owners, Dr. Claudia Orlandi and Claire Steidel, on this wonderful achievement for Tiger!! MimiChin stays in the rosettes with a Toy Group 2 and Smokey PON has a great showing in the Herding Group with a Group 2 placement!
As if Saturday was not enough, Team Tiger does it again, bringing home the BEST IN SHOW rosette for Sunday at Logansport!! The boys are really rockin' the weekend!! MimiChin does it yet again with another Toy Group 2, Piroschka the Samoyed is in the placements with a Working Group 2 and Smoky PON ups the placement in the Herding Group to a win earning a Group 1 rosette!!

02-03 March - The teams are off to Detroit for the two day weekend. On Saturday, Team Tiger works the Hound Group earning a Group 2 rosette, while MimiChin puts on a show of her own, garnering the Toy Group 1 win!
MimiChin and Nancy top it all off with a Best In Show win on Sunday! Congratulations to MimiChin's owners - James Dalton, Dr. John Turjoman and Marsha Ballard!!

21-24 February - Back in Chicago for the annual International Cluster of Dog Shows! And Team Tiger stays in the ribbons with a Hound Group 3 and Group 4 placements for the Thusday and Friday shows, and MimiChin kick starts the weekend with a Toy Group 4 and a Toy Group 1 win! Looks like the start of a great weekend!
The International Kennel Club of Chicago shows are on Saturday and Sunday, and Team Tiger continues their streak of Hound Group placements with Group 2 and Group 3 rosettes earmed, while MimiChin makes it a "3-Peat" of Toy Group 1 wins by taking big blue rosettes Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

15-18 February - Team Tiger travels in the opposite direction this weekend, and they head west - to Denver, Colorado! Tiger started the weekend off with a Hound Group 2 at Friday's show, and then a Hound Group 1 and Reserve Best in Show win on Saturday! On Sunday, it is another Hound Group 1 win for Tiger! Monday rounds out the weekend and Team Tiger brings it home with a Hound Grouo 2! Way to go, Team Tiger, for wonderful weekend results in Denver!! |
11-12 February - Bryan and Nancy are in New York celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary!!
Oh - and it is time once again for the Westminster Kennel Club show!! And we will be posting results as soon as we can!!
On Monday morning they start out with big wins in the Finnish Lapphund ring - Best of Breed with GCH CH Yutori's Shades Of Autumn (Leif) and Best of Opposite with CH Yutori's Winter Solstace (Celie)- congratulations to owners Lynn Drumm and Cathy Pollack!!

07-09 February - It is a stopover for a couple of days in Indianapolis for Bryan and the crew as they make their way out to the east coast. And Tiger the Basset Hound keeps it in the ribbons on Thursday with a Hound Group 3 placement! Then it is back to back Hound Group 1 wins on Friday and Saturday!! Smoky added some variety to the winners list, earning a Herding Group 4 placement on Saturday!
Now on to New York!!

02-03 February - The flu bug finally struck Team Martin and Nancy is down for the count, but Bryan is feeling great and takes a few of the crew south to balmy St. Joseph, Missouri, where on Saturday it is Tiger on the Hound Group 1 podium and Smoky the Polish Lowland Sheepdog earns the rosette for a Herding Group 2 placement!

On Sunday, Team Tiger tops off the weekend with a Hound Group 1 win and a Best in Show rosette!! Congratulations go out again to Dr. Claudia Orlandi and Claire Steidel on BIS win number nine for Tiger!

25-27 January - It is a cold January weekend in Grayslake, Illinois, but MimiChin and Team Tiger at HOT! Highlighting the weekend are the Group one wins for Tiger and MimiChin, who goes on to win Back to back Reserve Best in Show rosettes on Friday and Saturday!! There are also wonderful Group placements earned for Lief the Finnish Laphund and for Smoky the PON!
Sunday is a special day as we celebrate the Hound Group 2 placement for Tiger the Basset Hound, and a Working Group 4 placement for Piroschka the Samoyed and...

...the 16th Best in Show win for MimiChin!! Congratulations to owners James Dalton, Dr. John Turjoman and Marsh Ballard on a "Sweet Sixteen" record of BIS wins for MimiChin and Nancy!

12-13-06 January - Bryan and Nancy head north to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, for a great show weekend where MimiChin earns Back to Back Reserve-Best In Show wins! Piroschka, the Samoyed, earnes rosettes both days for a Working Group 1 and a Group 2, while Tiger brings it home with Hound Group 2 and Group 4 placements!

14-17 December - Bryan and Nancy are ending the 2012 show year with a four day weekend in Cleveland, Ohio. MimiChin and Nancy have four straight days of Toy Group placements - two Group 2's and two Group 3's, with Team Tiger bringing home a Hound Group 2 and Ace the American Eskimo Dog rounding out the Group placmenets with a Non-Sporting group 4 rosette! |
08-09 December - The second half of the four day show weekend moves to Rosemont, Illinois. MimiChin and Nancy start Saturday off with a Toy Group 3 placement and Team Tiger brings it home with a Hound Group 1 win! Seannie the Glen of Imaal Terrier caps it off by completing her Championship title with a Best of Breed win on this first day! Congratulations to Seannie's owners - Theresa Nesbitt, PJ Estes and Jody Daulton - on their new title holder!!
Sunday brings another Hound Group 1 win for Team Tiger, a Herding Group 2 for Smoky, and a Toy Group 3 for MimiChin! There is another Champion crowned - Peak the Flat-Coated Retriever! Congratulations to owners Marilyn Wilcox and Cheryl Kistner on Peak's Championship title!

06-07 December - It is a weekend close to home, as Bryan and Nancy head to Wheaton, Illinois, for Thursday and Friday shows. Tiger brings home the Hound Group 2 and Group 4 rosettes, and Smoky brings in a Herding Group 2 placement. MimiChin makes her own statement with a Toy Group 4 on the first day and a Reserve Best In Show win on Friday! Pretty good start to the weekend shows! |
01-02 December - A good time was had in East Lansing, Michigan where Tiger brings in a Hound Group 2, MimiChin earns herslef a Toy Group 1 and a Toy Group 2, and Piroschka the Samoyed grabs the rosette for a Working Group 3 placement.
Plus - two new Champion titles earned for
- ChaCha the Leonberger, owned by Virginia Bartholomay and Gary Butterfield
- Ozzy the Leonberger, owned by Matt Messley
And - Allie the Otterhound takes a Hound Group 3 placement after winning the Breed from the classes, and earns a 5-point major win towards her Champion title!

30 November - The Hounds make a big statement at the Michigan Hound Association show in East Lansing, Michigan. Tiger the Basset and Henley the Otterhound earn Best of Breed wins on the day, while Tiger and Bryan continue on to earn a Hound Group 2 rosette! Way to go, Henley and Tiger!!

15-16 November - Bryan and Tiger win Best in Show #8 at the Sandusky Kennel Club show in Columbus, Ohio. Congratulations go out again to Dr. Claudia Orlandi and Claire Steidel on their wonderful boy, Tiger! Day 2 of the weekend brings another Hound Group 1 win for Tiger!
It is also a great start to the weekend for Nancy and MimiChin, who bring home a Toy Group 4 placement. The next day, MimiChin takes it to the next level and earns herself a Toy Group 1 win! |
10-11 November - Nancy and Bryan are in Springfield, Missouri, where Team Tiger does it again - it is Back to Back Best in Show wins for Tiger and Bryan!! Congratulations to Dr. Claudia Orlandi and Claire Steidel on BIS wins number six and seven for thier handsome boy!

There are additional Group wins and placements for the weekend as well - a Toy Group 3 for MimiChin, a Hound Group 4 for Henley, a Working Group 4 for Pioschka, and a Herding Group 1 and a Group 4 for Smoky!
There is also a new Champion title eraned for Mr. Big, the Tibetan Terrier, owned by Barbara Bruns and Wolfgang Stamp. Congratulations on their new title holder.

08-09 November - Bryan and Smoky, the Polish Lowlnd Sheepdog, travel to Brooksville, Florida, for two Specialty Shows and return home with TWO Specialty show Best of Breed wins! Congratultions to Barbara Bruns and Wolfgang Stamp on these fantastic wins for their wonderful boy, Smoky!!
